The N.C. Department of Information Technology's new IT services website, itservices.nc.gov, demonstrates a shift in how we engage with our customers and approach service design.

By making an intuitive and efficient customer experience the most important success criteria, vital customer journeys’ that are the foundation of supporting state technology were reimagined from our customers’ perspective.

Powered by enterprise services from the NCDIT portfolio, including Digital Commons websites and IT Service Management, this website delivers:

  • A new information architecture and service taxonomy that aligns with the customer’s perspective
  • Guided navigation that enables users to initiate service requests with a single-click experience
  • Consistent and high-quality content that describes the portfolio of services NCDIT provides.

The project team assembled specialized communication and design skills from across NCDIT to innovate with our customers and service teams. Customer input guided nearly all aspects of the redesign from onscreen elements to the data model used to communicate our portfolio.

Building upon this improved experience, additional customer journeys will be reimagined through the services website and the NCDIT Service Portal as we transform through experience.

Our customers are at the heart of what we do.

Our goal is to build long-term relationships, so we can provide better IT solutions. This is how we want our customers and the people of North Carolina to experience NCDIT.
